Website re-design concepts for Matterport, a software company that uses cameras to capture, create, and share immersive 3D imagery of interior and enclosed spaces. Working with Bay Area Drupal experts Hook42, under swift deadlines, Chapas Design provided full-spectrum deliverables via a component-based, Drupal design system.
The new concepts provided a clean and fresh, lighter look and feel via responsive design, within established brand guidelines. The flexible layouts had to support various internal business initiatives, appeal to a range of personas, and scale via an easy to maintain CMS.
Engaging and fresh, modern and friendly. The site design reflects the company’s character, as well as it unique take on 3D cameras and showcase its virtual tour software platform. Matterport helps end users such a realtors, insurance agents and now consumers digitize building, automatically create 3D tours, 4K print quality photos, schematic floor plans.
We audited and re-architected the old site to re-org and better present the platform, user-oriented value props and general clarity of a rather hefty amount of content and visuals.
Matterport is the standard for 3D space capture. The all-in-one platform transforms real-life spaces into immersive digital twin models. So much more than panoramic scans, Matterport empowers people to capture and connect rooms to create truly interactive 3D models of spaces.
Homepage mockups showing the platform in use, the actual camera and platform output (floor plans, etc), key features, videos and more.
We identified and designed reusable UX components and patterns so the devs could quickly build pages, and the client could also quickly craft new pages as scale and content goals evolved.
